Updated Skincare Routine

I last did a post about skincare in July called Skincare Saviours. I can safely say that out of those products I last mentioned I now only use two of them as I have switched my routine up completely! I’ll mention Clinique a lot as I bought a box of their products that included all staple cult faves!

Makeup removal

When removing my makeup I’ll start by taking cotton pads soaked in Garnier Micellar Oil-infused Water and removing all makeup around my eyes. It’s great for taking off liner, mascara and lash glue. Its a cheaper alternative to Clinique’s Take The Day Off Makeup Remover.

After taking off the eye makeup I’ll then use Cliniques Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm, rub it all over my face and then get a cloth to remove all the melted makeup! Once these two steps are complete I like to finally go in with a foaming cleanser just to make sure all makeup is gone 100% and that cleanser is Clinique Rinse-Off Cleanser.

I use one gel for my spots that includes salicylic acid which is a key chemical to aid spot reduction/erasing. I use Clinique’s anti-blemish solution gel, it’s £16 but it doesn’t irritate me like the £5 ordinary one does.

For dead skin on the lips, I use sugar scrubs. Preferably the ones from Lush. I don’t exfoliate them every day but once I’ve done that I use Clinique’s Pep Start Pout Night Mask. It’s amazing, after 10 hours sleep I wake up and it’s still on!

Eyes are an important area to care for, never apply thick product under your eyes as it can cause tiny spots to form underneath the skin. I apply a small amount of Clinique Pep Start Eye Cream and tap it in with my finger.

Since I have amped up my routine I have noticed clearer skin that appears more dewy and less oil is being produced. Some products I use are slightly more pricey than what I have used before but they are definitely doing the job! If you want to get your hands on some of them I fully recommend buying the set I have purchased twice. https://www.lookfantastic.com/clinique-beauty-sleep-set/11840384.html. I hope you enjoyed the first post of 2019, I have been taking a well-earned break but I am excited for the content I will be producing! – Beth x
